Scrum at Scale

Brief Summary

Scrum at Scale is a framework developed by Jeff Sutherland. Jeff and Ken Schwaber created Scrum in 1990s. As the name implies, Scrum at Scale widens Scrum to apply across multiple teams. The focus is on coordinating and aligning all the work, while also allowing teams autonomy and flexibility. Like most other methodologies, Scrum at Scale is a lightweight framework and easy to pick up.

Smaller projects can have only one team, but larger projects and programs almost always have many teams. Methodologies such as Scrum at Scale aim to solve the “larger projects/programs” collaboration/coordination/inter-dependencies issues we’ve all seen since Scrum was first rolled out.
