The Microsoft Project User's Group (MPUG) is an organization providing a wealth of information for users of Microsoft Project. Just click the link below to see what I'm talking about. There's something called the "80/20" principle that, when applied to software, goes something like "you use 20% of a software tool to do 80% of your work." While this may be true in some cases, the 80% of MS Project that you aren't using, but could be, is where you can really make the tool work for you. There are many, many processes in companies that could be improved, automated, or even eliminated if they knew about some of the less-well-known and extremely powerful capabilities of MS Project. Take a look at the site, peruse around a bit, and you'll start to discover all kinds of things you either didn't know or had read about and forgotten. Organization website: MPUG |
